Whether you are after filter effect foundation finish, sharp cut crease, flawless concealer blend, or a hot smokey eye look, we’ve got a makeup brush to match whatever it is you are after!

What makeup brushes should I use?

Foundation brush- Foundation brushes are usually slightly denser in nature for better control and blending. They are best used on liquid and cream products. For medium coverage, choose a brush with a flat top and run the brush in a downwards motion. If you are after a more natural sheer finish, use a brush with a rounded top and apply the product in a circular motion to buff out the excess.

Concealer brush- There are 2 types of concealer brushes you need to achieve the most flawless finish. You’ll need a small flat brush to apply the product to imperfections, followed by a small buffing brush for blending. Concealer brushes are also great for cut crease looks when applying eyeshadow.

Powder brush- Powder brushes are great for setting your base. The bigger rounded brushes should be used to sweep setting powder all over the face. They also work well to bronze the face and body. The smaller powder brushes are great for those with smaller features.

Blush brush- A good blush brush helps distribute the product evenly. A blush brush should not be too dense. The softer, the better! Buildability is the key to a great blush application!

Contouring brush- Select a brush depending on how you like your contour. If you like your contour deep and chiseled, select a contour brush that is specific for this purpose. If you prefer a more natural light contour, choose a brush that doubles as blush/contour. The duo-purpose brushes are more likely to be softer in density for a more natural finish.

Eyeshadow brush- There are 2 main eyeshadow brush types. The classic flat eyeshadow brush with a rounded top, and the domed-shaped fluffy blending brush. We recommend choosing 3 eyeshadow brushes when creating a simple eye look. If you’re in a rush and you love a quick 2-minute blend, we recommend a universal blending brush for a quick sweep of colour.

Blending brush- Blending brushes are a must! They’re great for laying down your eyeshadow base, transitioning between colours and blending out any harsh lines.

Eyeliner brush- Eyeliner brushes should be a staple in everyone's makeup kit. A killer wing can really transform your eye shape. Try and drag the wing out for a snatched cat-eye effect!

Brow brush- Brow brushes should be thin, dense with a clean edge. You’ll be able to carve out the desired brow shape to suit your features, and you can dip a clean brow brush into a concealer to tidy up the edges.

Highlighter brush- If you prefer a more natural glow, we recommend a highlighter fan brush. Use the fan brush to lightly dust over your cheekbones, tip of your nose, forehead, and chin. It’ll accentuate your natural features. A highlighter fan brush also works well to dust off fallout from a messy eyeshadow application. If you’re after a more precise application of highlighter, try a precision highlighter brush that’s shaped like a long fluffy dome.

Lip brush- For a clean lipstick application, don’t apply lip products directly. Always use a brush for precise application and clean edges. Lip brushes also work well to tidy up the arches of the brow!
